Description
Fenice Pipes are a new entry to Canada, from the same folks who operated the Lorenzetti pipe company in Italy. Pronounced “feh-NEE-che”, this word translates into English as “Phoenix”. The legendary bird of mythology, the Phoenix burned itself on a funeral pyre then rose from the ashes with renewed youth to live through another cycle; this is an apt metaphor for the Fenice Tobacco Pipe Company, which rose from the “ashes” (pardon the pun) of the now defunct Lorenzetti Tobacco Pipe Company.
The inaugural series from Fenice is named Romulus, paying homage to the legendary first King of Rome. Crafted with precision, each pipe is handmade in Italy and is available in a variety of shapes. These pipes are convertible (being able to accommodate a 9mm filter by removal of the floc) or can be smoked without a filter. This finish on this pipe is Mogano (Mahogany) a smooth lustrous brown tone. The stem is stamped "Fenice", "Romulus", "Mogano" and "Italy".

Each Fenice pipe is measured so you have a good idea of the dimensions of the pipe you will receive; however, given the imprecise nature of pipemaking and variations in briar, we must let you know that there may be slight variations in the dimensions of the pipe you receive i.e. slightly taller fire pot, or slightly wider bowl dimensions. Also, we may use a pipe stand in the images to properly display the pipe; note that stands are not included with the purchase of the pipe.
