Description
Lorenzetti Titus pipes are a popular line from the renowned Italian maker, known for excellent value, rugged looks, and versatility, featuring a deep black sandblasted briar bowl, briar/acrylic accents, acrylic stem, and the option for 9mm filters or a filter reducer. Named after Roman Emperor Titus and created by Otello Lorenzetti in 1934, these Italian-made pipes blend traditional craftsmanship with modern production, offering quality briar and unique styling at an accessible price point for pipe smokers.
In essence, Lorenzetti Titus pipes provide a durable, stylish, and functional smoking experience, embodying Italian pipe-making heritage without the premium price tag of higher-end brands, making them a solid choice for many pipe smokers. Note: the Lorenzetti factory closed in 2024 after 80 years so these fine pipes are no longer available!
Other features include:
- Stamping of the series and model on the shank of the pipe
- Trademark banding where the shank meets the stem
- Optional 9mm insert (sold separately)
- Black acrylic stem
The pipe shown here is shape 49. Part of the Emperor Series, each part of the line is distinguished by its finish. These pipes are an incredible value and are made from top quality briar. Will accept a 9mm charcoal filter but this is not required to use the pipe.
The pipe you see is the pipe you get. This pipe came to us from a private collection, and where necessary, has been expertly restored by a local craftsman. This pipe was previously smoked but has been completely and professionally reconditioned and sanitized. Because it has been pre-owned, the price is drastically reduced compared to what this pipe would cost new (assuming that you could even find it). We stand behind these pipes; if you ever have an issue, return it to us for repair or refund.

About Lorenzetti Pipes
Lorenzetti Pipes first started with Otello Lorenzetti in 1934 when he began to create some of the best handcrafted briar pipes. After serving in the military, Lorenzetti founded his company, looking to make his mark on the world. This was despite his missing education, a common situation of the time he lived.
Born the youngest of five children, Lorenzetti had a passion for working hard which was only equaled by his passion for singing. In the earliest of his pipe making days, neighbours would remark how he would craft his pipes for up to twelve hours each day, all while serenading them with the tenor voice that got him into the school of singing at the Cathedral of Recanati.
Traveling around through neighbouring towns, Lorenzetti would sell his smoking pipes to various shops and tobacconists. His craftsmanship made his pipes more popular, earning him a reputation for his fine work. At one point, his pipes gained the attention of the former Italian President Sandro Pertini, a known pipe connoisseur.
When making their tobacco pipes, the Lorenzetti company takes great care to ensure the highest quality briar is used while following the tried-and-true crafting practices. After undergoing a drying and seasoning process, the wood is carefully inspected, cut, shaped, polished, and inspected again before being deemed worthy of sale. Lorenzetti only sends out their best pipes. If it does not meet their satisfaction, it is not a Lorenzetti pipe.
To this day, Otello’s legacy lives on, as his grandson Alessandro Lorenzetti still carries on the tradition of crafting these beautiful briar pipes.
