St James Flake has the reputation for being one of the best flakes on the market. It is named after St. James Parish in Louisiana, a major source of Perique pipe tobacco. Along with the Perique, this moist flake contains wonderful Virginia tobaccos. The sweetness from the Virginias combines with the pepperiness of the Perique to create a bold smoke. St James Flake smokes well from the tin but if left to air for a bit, it becomes less tangy and cooler. If you see crystallization in this tobacco it’s because St James Flake is pressed with a little added sugar. 50g tin. Note: this is now shipping in plain packaging.
