A favourite from Samuel Gawith, this unique flake is perfect for the pipe smoker looking for a medium strength, gentle and slow-burning tobacco. Best Brown Flake is created using hand-stripped, flue-cured leaf that is pressed into a cake. Each cake is seven pounds and is wrapped with selected prime wrapper leaf. To achieve a pliable leaf, the cake is steamed then pressed and cooked for 1-2 hours; this process is adequate time for the tobacco to achieve a medium-brown colour and a distinctive, nutty aroma. The result is a very pleasant tobacco with good, even smoke and no tongue-bite. 50g Tin. Note: this is now shipping in plain packaging.
