Borkum Riff Authentic pipe tobacco consists of black Cavendish, flue cured Virginia, and burley tobacco. The tobaccos are blended and warm pressed into plates. After resting, the plates are cut into flakes and rubbed. Blended by Scandinavian Tobacco Group. Ready rubbed. 50g. Note: this pipe tobacco is now shipping in plain packaging.
About Borkum Riff
Borkum Riff was originally a lighthouse located at 53° 58′ N, and 6° 22′ E in Heligoland Bight off the Dutch coast in the North Sea. It was a landmark for seafarers and was well-known to Swedish radio listeners, as weather reports mentioned Borkum Riff several times a day. In the 1960’s a pipe tobacco was launched in Sweden under the brand name “Borkum Riff”. Today, Borkum Riff Authentic pipe tobacco is owned and blended by Scandinavian Tobacco Group.
