It’s the holiday season, and you know what that means – a new release of Sutliff’s much-anticipated Cringle Flake Holiday Edition 2023. This year, this flake consists of decade-old matured red Virginia with a rich, toasty flavour, blended with stoved Katerini Orientals for an exotic, smoky note, and 20 year-old St. James Perique, pressed into a block and sliced to be presented in broken flake form. Aged 23 years, US grown Red Virginias are mixed with a very special tobacco—Stoved Katerini. This unique ingredient brings the mellow sweetness of stoved tobacco to the herbal Oriental. Finally, the mixture is boldly spiced with Perique from 2003 – the last of this stock that has graced the series since 2020. Cringle Flake 2023 marries tradition and innovation in a flavourful mixture that unites Sutliff’s drive to explore the art of blending with the staples that have made this series a cherished holiday tradition.
